Treatment of personal data

The owner of the personal data provided in this form is informed that both the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia (CEDIA), with tax identification number 0992284269001 and address at Gonzalo Cordero 2-122 and J. Fajardo, Cuenca, Ecuador, and contact email address protecciondedatos@cedia.org.ec, as well as the University of Cuencawith tax identification number 0160001240001 and address at Av. 12 de Abril and Av. Loja, and contact email address claudiom.quevedo@ucuenca.edu.ec, are the entities responsible for the processing of their personal data. In this regard, they are responsible for carrying out processing through automated and non-automated information systems, such as email servers, computer applications, paper documentation, among others. The purpose, among others, is the management of your registration in the training requested by you, which CEDIA, together with the University of Cuenca, makes available to you.

The management of your registration includes the processing of your data to fill out the event registration form, to complete the corresponding payment, and to issue the electronic receipt (invoice). The legal basis for the processing of your data is the execution of the contractual relationship of which you are a part and compliance with a legal obligation regarding tax matters.

Your data may also be used to send personalized commercial information by any means that may be of interest to you. The processing of personal data will be carried out in accordance with the privacy policies of each institution.

The legal basis for sending commercial communications is the consent requested from you, which you freely give. You may revoke your consent at any time.

Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties other than those indicated, except when there is a legal obligation to do so. The data will be retained by CEDIA and the University of Cuenca for as long as the academic and/or commercial relationship is maintained, you do not withdraw your consent, or for the years necessary to comply with legal obligations.

During the event, recordings and photographs may be made, which CEDIA and the University of Cuenca may subsequently publish on their website or social media profiles for the purpose of promoting the activities carried out at the event and the services they provide. The legal basis for this processing is also the consent that you may grant or refuse at the time of registration.

The processing of data may involve an international transfer of data, as corporate tools whose servers are located outside Ecuador may be used. However, such international data transfer has all the necessary security guarantees, protection shields, and other measures. This international transfer will also be supported by the legal instrument established in the future by the Data Protection Authority of Ecuador.

The data owner may exercise their rights of access, rectification and updating, deletion, objection, or, when legally applicable, portability, by sending a request to the aforementioned email and physical addresses.
